PAB Feature: Tia Stauffeo

6:00:00 PM

Tia Stauffer is a perfectly ambitious woman currently residing in Pennsylvania. She is the owner and operator of Love and Threads Studio, where she makes a variety of zipper clutches including foldover clutches and embroidered clutches that have sayings such as "choose joy," "you are loved," and "wifey" on them.

Love and Threads Studio originally came about because Tia has been sewing for as long as she can remember. Her grandma bought her her first sewing machine when she was really little, but she did not know how to use it or have anyone to teach her. Eventually she taught herself and once she started high school, she took all four years of the clothing class that was offered, as well as an independent study class on sewing.

When she is not working on her business, she is a full time college student majoring in business administration with minors in retailing and marketing. She also has two part time jobs: one is working at a local consignment shop and the other is working in sales and events. Tia also enjoys spending her free time hanging out with her fiancé or reading a book!

Q & A with Tia
Q: Have you ever been told you were too ambitious?
A: It is funny because my parents and family friends always joked with me when I was younger because they believed I had an entrepreneurial and ambitious spirit right when I was born. I remember one day when I was in elementary school, I left my ouse and walked door-to-door in my neighborhood selling knit scarves with one of my friends. I came home that day with hundreds of dollars and all my parents could say was, "where did this come from?" They were in disbelief.

Q: Do you think it is good or bad to have dreams you may never accomplish? Why?
A: I believe any dream is a good dream to have. Dreams are what helps keep you motivated and inspired.

Q: How do you define perfectly ambitious?
A: Being perfectly ambitious is believing in a dream and being determined to reach that dream or goal. When you are ambitious you desire to achieve the success that you dream about for yourself, no matter how long it takes you or what it takes you.

Q: What makes you perfectly ambitious?
A: I have a strong passion and desire to achieve the dreams that I set for myself. I know that these dreams may take awhile to achieve, but I know that I can make them happen. It takes hard work to accomplish you dreams, but it is worth it.

Q: What inspires you?
A: My hopes, dreams, and aspirations are what inspire me. As well as my family, finance, and friends. I always am inspired by those around me to be a better person and to live life by following my dreams.

Q: What other perfectly ambitious woman do you admire?
A: Kate from The Adopt Shoppe. I absolutely love her work and cannot say enough good things about her shop. Also Julia from Olivewood Designs who makes some incredibly amazing wooden signs and hearts.

Q: What are your future goals?
A: I want to have a family and be able to provide for them. I hope to eventually grow Love and Threads Studio to offering more handmade bags, as well as hopefully offering some quilts in the future. I also want to accomplish building a brand image for Love and Threads Studio. I want consumers to know who we are.

Q: What is your biggest accomplishment?
A: I graduate college in May with my Bachelor's Degree and that is a huge accomplishment. I remember when I was a freshman walking around and getting lost in a campus that I thought was too big with way too many buildings. Now I'm graduating! Time really does fly by.
