About

Quick Introduction
I'm Ivy - I'm a writer, a creator, and a photographer, but I think my biggest label is that I'm a spoonie. This blog is dedicated to all of the things that I love, and do, and how being a spoonie affects those things! I will share my projects my feelings, and the inspirational women in my life. I believe that I am perfectly ambitious and I'd love to feature those of you that are as well!

About Me
I am a twenty-something Florida girl who is currently living the Alabama life. I am originally from a small town, where everyone knows everyone else. I must admit that it is weird living somewhere other than the place that I was born and raised, but I guess that's why I decided that I'll be moving back home! With my two fur babies, of course :)

When I was in my senior year of high school, I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. It wasn't until about a year after that I was also diagnosed with Hashimoto's thyroiditis. I have been on medication ever since, but something still didn't feel right. I have struggled with aches and pains for as long as I can remember, and I am finally getting help. I will blog more about this in the future, but for now you can read what it means to be a spoonie here.

I completed my associates degree at the University of North Florida before moving to Alabama. Every once in a while I consider going back to school, but I know it's not for me. If I did go back, I would probably get a degree in psychology, philosophy, or sociology. These were my favorite classes in school, and I took them every chance I got!

I love all things creative! If I'm not writing, you might find me reading, crafting, taking pictures, or baking. I definitely have a sweet tooth! I am a super picky eater, so my go to foods are chicken tenders, french fries, cookies, and ice cream. Basically, if you can find it on the kids menu, I'll eat it!

You can find more random facts about me here and here.

About My Blog
Perfectly Ambitious is not my first blog attempt. About a year ago, I started a blog named Darling Distractions. I was writing about all of the things that distracted me in my life: crafting, baking, taking photographs, etc. Little did I realize, that I was too distracted to write a blog. I was still attending school, and working, so I had to let it go.

I had no intention of starting a new blog, until I realized that I had all the time in the world, and a lot to say.

When I decided to start a new blog, I knew I would need a name that fit. You can read about that here. I wanted to make sure that the name wasn't too specific, that way I wouldn't have to narrow my blog topics.

One of the main reasons I wanted to start this blog is to have an outlet about my spoonie life. I have so many things that I'd like to accomplish, but that can be difficult with chronic illnesses. I have tried talking to others about it, but they don't quite understand. I hope that this blog will help others learn more about chronic illnesses, and how they affect the one's they love.

I intend on writing about anything and everything! This may include blog posts on chronic illnesses, relationships, fashion, books, and more. Ultimately, I want to let people know that it's okay to be perfectly ambitious. So there will also be features on awesome women and small businesses!

Thank you for taking the time to read about me and my blog Perfectly Ambitious! I hope that you will continue following me on my blogging journey! Please feel free to check us out on social media using the icons to the right!
