Book Haul: October 2016

6:00:00 PM

These are all of the books that I have purchased in October! I have received a few more from authors, but I want to keep those a secret until I post my reviews!

Burned
Burned is book 12 of the Pretty Little Liars series. I don't currently have the first 11 books in the series, but I've been watching the show since it first premiered! Plus, I knew that I wouldn't find a better deal than 90% off, so I just had to get it!

Crushed
Crushed is book 13 of the Pretty Little Liars series. At the moment, I only have books 12 and 13, but I've wanted to read them for years, so I'll definitely be on the look out for the rest of the series! Honestly, I had no idea how long the series was either! In total, there are 16 books and two novellas and I can't wait to get them all!

Dark Secrets 1
Dark Secrets 1 is book one of the Dark Secrets Trilogy. Except technically, it contains books one and two of a five book series. The two titles in this book are Legacy of Lies and Don't Tell. At the moment, this is the only book that I have in this series, but I'm excited to complete the collection!

Echo
Echo is book two of the Soul Seekers series and even though there are four books in the series, this is the only one that I have. Honestly though, I have been wanting Alyson's books for quite a long time! Her earlier series, The Immortals, has been on my book wishlist since high school and for some reason, I just haven't gotten around to order the books. So I'm happy that I at least have one of her works now! And since it isn't the first in the series, I'll finally have a reason to get the other books too!

Evercrossed
Evercrossed is book four of the Kissed by an Angel series. The series has a total of six books, but I only have two of them at this time: Evercrossed (book four) and Everafter (book six). I'm actually really glad that I was able to find these ones on sale because I've been wanting to read them for as long as I can remember! In fact, I used to walk to the local Barnes & Noble after school and flip through them whenever I came across them; and now, I finally own two of the six!

Eternal
Eternal is book three of the Winterhaven Trilogy. Kristi Cook is another one of the author's that's been on my book wishlist for a while! A lot of my friends have read her books and I've been meaning to as well, but I've also been leaning more towards the books that are coming out in theaters as they do. So, this series got pushed to the back burner. Nevertheless, I've got book three of the series and I'm ready to track down the others!

Fearscape
Fearscape is book three of the Devouring Trilogy. I don't have the first two books in the series, but I didn't want to miss out on this awesome deal! I mean, who can turn down 90% off?! I knew from the cover that this book would fall into my favorite genre, so I didn't bother reading the synopsis. I also didn't want to read it and spoil something that happens in the first two books. I did, however, read the synopsis of The Devouring and I will definitely be looking for the first two books in this series!

Generation Dead
Generation Dead is book one of the Generation Dead Trilogy. Although I'm a huge fan of YA fantasy, I haven't taken much interest in the living dead before. Normally, I'm not one for zombies. However, the cover reminded me of the Pretty Little Liars show and it caught my eye! So, I picked it up and was intrigued after reading the synopsis!

Kiss of Life
Kiss of Life is book two of the Generation Dead Trilogy. After finding the first book, I was happily surprised to find the second one as well! Now I'll just need to pick up the last book and the accompanying collection of short stories!

Hexbound
Hexbound is book two of the Dark Elite Trilogy. When I picked it up, I honestly had no idea that it wasn't a stand alone book. So now, I'll need to pick up the first and the last books of the series before I can start reading! And silly me, I didn't realize that I had already picked up this book, so now I've got two copies! Lucky for me, it was 90% off so it wasn't a huge error on my part; and lucky for you, you'll have a chance to win a copy when I post my review!

Stargazer
Stargazer is book two of the Evernight series. At first glance, I'm still not sure why I picked this book up. It definitely doesn't have the look of the other books that I normally get. And even though you're not supposed to judge a book by it's cover, I still do! But after picking it up, I was intrigued by the book blurb and lets be real, I was picking up everything that sounded the slightest bit interesting since all used books were 10 for $1!

Hourglass
Hourglass is book three of the Evernight series. There are a total of five books in this series and I'm looking forward to tracking them all down! At the moment, I only have book two and three, but I'm sure I'll find the rest! And after checking out the author's GoodReads profile, I might just have to add her other books to my collection as well!

Moonset
Moonset is book one of the Legacy of Moonset series. Honestly, I had no idea that it wasn't a stand alone novel, but it will be interesting to see where this one goes. After reading the synopsis, I was intrigued. The plot reminded me a little bit about one of the series that I'm currently engrossed in, so I thought I'd give it a try. If you haven't noticed, I kind of have a thing for witches and all things fantasy!

Possessions
Possessions is book one of the Possessions series and when I saw it, I knew that I had to have it! I currently own another Nancy Holder novel and from what I can remember, I loved it! Honestly, I have't read it in a while though, so I think I'll have to read it again. Nevertheless, I'm excited to get the rest of the Possessions novels and get to reading!

The Exorsistah
The Exorsistah is book one of the Exorsistah Trilogy. As I was browsing the aisles, I glanced at this book a few times before finally picking it up. Honestly, I didn't think it'd be for me, but after reading the synopsis, I knew that it would be. When I bought it, I had no idea that it was part of a series, but I'm excited to track down the other two novels and read them all!

Have you read any of these books before? What did you think of them?
