Product Review: Vera Bradley + Giveaway!

6:30:00 PM

Lately, I feel like all I've been doing is reviewing items, whether its for an author or for a business. Luckily though, this one is extra special! Not only is it a product review, but it's also a giveaway! There will be more on that later though :)

If you guys have seen my birthday wish list for this year, then you know that I've been wanting the black Campus Backpack from Vera Bradley.

Well guys, the stars aligned and I was finally going to get it! Zach and I decided to head to the mall to get it in person, but ran into a bit of a problem. The bag was perfect, but it wasn't perfect for me.

Unfortunately, when I put the backpack on, it looked like I was heading off to school. So, I decided to try on a different one that they had in stock. The Ultimate Backpack looked similar, but was definitely smaller. Ultimately, I was concerned that it wouldn't carry everything that I needed it too. So, I left it there and headed home.

After a couple of weeks passed, I realized that I needed a backpack more than ever before. My cross body purse was just too much for me to carry. So, I did a little bit more research on the Vera Bradley website and headed back to the mall.

Thanks to a couple packing videos on Youtube, I knew that everything I had would definitely fit inside. The only thing left to figure out was whether or not the bag looked good on me. Of course, that mean dragging my husband along to give me his opinion.

Once he gave me his approval, I compared the prices of everything that I wanted. I then realized that purchasing everything online would actually be cheaper, so that's what we did!

Review:
Packaging is always the first impression of any online order and I must say, Vera Bradley's packaging is on point!

When I first opened the box, I found multiple layers of prefilled bags of air. Before my cats destroyed them, they did a great job of keeping my purchase safe and secure in the box. Now, that box is a whole other story!

I absolutely love customized packaging! I've got to say that I've seen some pretty great customized products before, but Vera Bradley's boxes are officially my favorite! Firefly seems to love them too :)

As for the bag itself, I absolutely love it! It does everything that I need it to do and more! In fact, I even had an extra pocket that I didn't know what to fill it with. And if you know me, then you know that says a lot!

Honestly, it's the perfect backpack for me. The straps are just long enough to fall right where they should on my back, after I adjusted them. It's both classy and functional, so I know that I can use it for any occasion. And it doesn't make me look like a little kid! Which being 5'2, some backpacks do have that effect.

The only thing that I don't like about the bag is the pattern on the inside. Personally, I prefer neutral colors. So, had the inside print been all black or even just a grayscale pattern, I would have loved it even more. However, it's really not a problem because people shouldn't be going through the inside of my backpack anyways!

Overall, I would definitely recommend this Vera Bradley Backpack. As I've mentioned before, I watched a bunch of packing videos on youtube and those ladies used this backpack for anything and everything! Mostly I saw them used for school, diaper bags, purses, and just mommy packs filled with everything young children might need.

    1. I've gotta admit, I haven't had a Vera Bradley Bag since 2007, but I still love them! My first bag was my middle school back pack and it held up so well! I beat that thing up and it still kept going strong. Lets see how long this one lasts! 😄
