How to Be an Encourager + Free Printable

6:00:00 PM

Each Friday, I try to publish a post that is encouraging; whether it is featuring a fellow blogger or shop owner, featuring another creators product, or just writing something about encouragement. Today's post was originally going to be a product review. However, I'm horrible at keeping up with challenges and I haven't quite completed the necessary tasks in order to write that review. So, what did I do? I made my way over to pinterest and started working through all of the encouraging quotes that I have saved to my quotes board. That's when I found this one:

"You were created to make somebody else's life better. Somebody needs what you have - your smile, love and encouragement." - Joel Osteen

As you guys know, the focus of my blog is living, creating, and encouraging others to be perfectly ambitious. So, it's time that I talk about how to be an encourager.

Every person is walking their own path and dealing with their own struggles, whether or not we can see them. That's why we need to remember to be encouraging at all times!

Unless someone asks for constructive criticism, there really isn't a reason for us to judge anyone. If you are a Christ follower like I am, then you know that God is the only one that can pass judgment. It is not up to us to criticize or find faults in anyone. What we should do is show them kindness and encourage them. That's why I've come up with a list of ways to be an encourager!

1. Be kind.

2. Motivate others.

3. Point out how others encourage you.

4. Remind others what you like and appreciate about them.

5. Contribute where you can.

6. Lift people up.

7. Help educate others.

8. Remain honest.

9. Commend those for a job well done.

10. Make friends, not enemies.

11. Lead by example

12. Inspire others.

13. Celebrate others' accomplishments.

14. Help others' live a more positive life.

15. Be tolerant of the things you dislike.

16. Show compassion at all times.

17. Promote more of what you would like to see in the world.

18. Smile often.

19. Show them you care.

20. Give sincere compliments.

I'm sure there are tons and tons of ways that we can encourage others, but for now I'll just leave you with 20. Some of these may not be easy, but they are worth it. Being an encourager doesn't just benefit the people around us, but it benefits us as well.

For me, there is no better feeling than making a positive difference in people's lives. So, that's why I try to be an encourager and I think you should be too! There is just something about knowing you are making a positive difference that feels amazing :)

As promised earlier, I have a special freebie for you! I went ahead and created a printable using the quote from above! I hope that it inspires you to be more of encourager and hopefully brings some happiness into your life!
